Stand-Up Comedy, Motivational Message

Clean comedian, motivational speaker and best-selling author, Rich Praytor has people of all ages laughing and experiencing what God has for them.
After graduating college at the University of Texas at El Paso, Rich moved to Los Angeles to learn the craft of stand-up comedy. He spent several years in the comedy clubs learning what was funny and what was not, but he remained true to his faith by not compromising his comedy and being clean in every situation.
"When I got to L.A., all I heard was filth from the comedians and it wasn't even funny. So I asked God to give me a creativity that would be funny to both Christians and non-Christians. I don't want to alienate anyone. If you're a believer, I want you to be encouraged in your walk. If you're not, then I want you to know that there is hope in Jesus Christ. And I want to make you laugh hysterically."
Rich performs nationally at conferences, churches and concerts and is a frequent guest on various radio and television networks that include ABC, NBC, CBS, TBN, PAX and The Gameshow Network, along with many others. Also, his Comedy You Can Believe In routine has won numerous awards, including the American Gospel Music Award for Best Comedian of the Year.
In 2004, Rich released Road Rage and River Dancing, a comedy DVD that is a top seller at his shows. He also has a CD entitled This Little Piggy Went to SuperCuts.
His book A Stand-Up Comic Sits Down With Jesus, a humorous devotional, has been picked up by Regal Books and will be available in stores the fall of 2007.
His latest project, Prank 3:16, is a unique television show that teaches the truths about the Bible. He illustrates Biblical truths through elaborate practical jokes.
Rich currently lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with his best friend and wife Bridget and their new daughter Alyssa Kate Praytor. They also have two dogs named Maui and Duke.

"My faith in Christ began at 16 years old while I was overseas in Germany with my family. Being in a military family, we moved around quite a bit.
"When I was in college, I was asked to help out with the high school ministry at the church I attended. I realized then that God had given me a heart for His people and vision of what He wanted them to be like.
"I quickly found that using comedy would grab their attention long enough to teach them about the truth of Jesus Christ. Soon after, I made the decision to move to California so I could learn about the craft of stand-up comedy.
"I love performing because not only do I get a chance to make people laugh, but also to tell them that there is hope. You can have joy if you know where to find it. God is willing to take care of you, all you have to do is ask.”

"He did absolutely outstanding! He had us rolling, this guy was so funny. I would highly recommend him anyplace. He is one funny guy. Thank you for everything you’ve done."
