You guessed it! Tim Hannig is not your average entertainer!

It all started when Tim learned a simple magic trick from his pastor as a child. That's all it took to spark his interest in the art of illusion. A born-to-be entertainer, Tim's interest gradually transformed into a passion. However, that passion wasn't simply to entertain people-it was to impact their lives...for eternity.

But it didn't start that way.

While attending Wheaton College, Tim performed over 900 shows over 3 summers at Six Flags Theme Parks. He has entertained many times at Chicago White Sox Private Events, and has performed twice at the White House! Obviously, Tim has invaluable experience at capturing people's attention and keeping them entertained.

Tim quickly rose to the top of his field by becoming one of the most successful entertainers in the magic industry, and is now recognized by his peers on a regular basis by being featured at international magic conventions around the globe. Tim has also been featured at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California.

But it doesn't stop there!

Tim's passion quickly developed into using the talents that God has blessed him with to really impact the lives of children and families nationwide. And because he now specializes at blending illusion, music, drama, comedy and audience participation with life-changing messages, he has become one of the most in-demand speakers from the Midwest. But that's not all!

Tim's presentations have been requested multiple times at some of the largest churches in America, including Saddleback, WillowCreek, The Brooklyn Tabernacle, and countless others both large and small.

Tim has presented more than 3,500 programs for children and family audiences nationwide. And whether large or small, he clearly pours his heart into each and every program. It's truly a journey your audience will never forget.

Both Tim and his wife Sacha are alumni of Wheaton College. Tim received his degree in Communications, and Sacha received her degree in Christian Education. They have four young children, and make their home in the Chicago area.

5) Family Outreach Show

Tim’s most popular program, which consists of comedy, illusion, audience involvement, skits, and music to create a hilarious evening for the whole family. The Gospel presentation or other message is woven right into the program, so even the little ones never lose interest. Great for ages 4 to 104!

4) The Miracle Man

After hosting the Family Outreach Show, many churches have Tim present a follow up program for their services. In The Miracle Man, Tim tells the story of Jesus straight from the book of John. Again, this program is great for elementary age and up, as Tim uses background video, special effects, music, and illusions to hold the audience’s attention. This ends with a compelling presentation of the Gospel. Tim’s “Miracle Man” show was written by one of the program directors at Saddleback, where Tim has presented it for the last 3 Easters. He now tours with this show nationwide.

3) Community School Outreach

Tim currently presents over 225 public school assemblies a year with his “Pro-Kids Show”. “PRO” stands for “people respecting others”.  If you are looking to show love to your community, then sponsor this character building show into your local schools. Tim gets the kids fired up as he does a hilarious show that encourages them to do the right thing – even when no one else is looking!

Schools are looking for shows that teach respect, responsibility, and honesty, and this show does that in a big way. The show also has a Family Night component, which is often the highest attended event of the school year. After the kids see the assembly, they can’t wait to see the new show! Many churches sponsor Tim into the local schools, and then have the Family Outreach Show and the Miracle Man at their church that weekend. In Beloit, WI, Central Christian Church was shocked the first time they sponsored Tim’s Pro-Kids Show into the local schools. Not only did they win an award from the mayor, but they also found that over 90% of the attendance at Tim’s evening show had never visited their church before! “This is the most effective outreach we have ever done,” said Children’s Pastor Jerod Walker.

God is good... all the time!

My parents came to know the Lord when I was still a baby, and I am so thankful.

Because a good friend took the time to share Jesus with them, they wasted no time in getting right with God. In fact, my mom was baptized at 2:30 in the morning with some family and friends around!

My parents' spiritual hunger rubbed off on me, and I decided to follow Jesus as soon as I was old enough to understand. As a child, I lost a 3 year old sister to cancer, but even through that, my family found that God is faithful and is the Great Comforter.

While attending Wheaton College, I wasn't sure where God would guide me. My interests included missions, media, people, and of course, being an entertainer. I certainly didn't think they would all be combined into one, but that's the path I'm on.

May we never be so accustomed to the message that we take it for granted! I always keep in mind that there might be someone in the audience who has never heard the Good News, and just like my parents, are about to start their journey following Jesus.

God can use the most unusual circumstances to draw people to Himself. If He lets me be a part of that, then I am humbled. My prayer is always that the Holy Spirit would prepare hearts for what God wants to do, and that I not get in the way. I want my shows to be used to point people to God, as HE is what it is all about.
